Host your next event at the Serbian Cultural Centre!

This welcoming venue is suitable for conferences, weddings and private events. It is located only 5 minutes form the City Centre and is a short stroll to the beautiful Botanical Gardens.

Subject to cultural events, the hall is available to hire all year round. To hire the hall, please complete the below Hall Hire Enquiry form and we will get in contact with you.

The venue offers the use of extensive outdoor grounds for private & corporate events that may require outdoor space.

Banquet-style seating for up to 100 people.

Cocktail style up to 110

Hall hire cost and bond:
Full-day hall hire: $450.00
Refundable bond: $500.00

​

The bond will be refunded in full within two weeks of the hire, subject to a satisfactory post-event inspection.

Additional services:

  • Bain-marie hire: $100.00

  • Access for up to four hours on the day before or after your event for set-up or pack-down: $100.00 per day, subject to availability.

Set-up, pack-down and cleaning:
The Centre is managed by a committee of unpaid volunteers. Hirers are responsible for all set-up, pack-down and cleaning for their event. This includes vacuuming carpeted areas, mopping vinyl floors, leaving the kitchen and toilets clean and tidy, and disposing of rubbish as directed in the housekeeping instructions.

Hall Hire Conditions:

  • Bookings are confirmed once full payment of the hire fee and bond, together with a current Public Liability Insurance Certificate of Currency, has been received.

  • Public Liability Insurance is required for all events. Individual one-off event cover is available from approximately $275, depending on the event and insurer.

  • Hirers are responsible for set-up, pack-down and cleaning. Floors must be vacuumed and mopped, the kitchen and shared toilets left clean and tidy, and tables and chairs returned as instructed.

  • All rubbish must be securely bagged and placed in the designated commercial bin and excess rubbish must be removed.

  • Keep external doors closed while using air conditioning and switch off hall air conditioners before leaving.

  • All cleaning and pack-down must be completed, and everyone must leave the premises, by 11:55 pm.

  • Hirers must secure the premises and return the keys as directed.

  • Alcohol requires the Centre’s prior written approval, appropriate insurance cover and an RSA-qualified supervisor. Events selling alcohol must also provide a valid liquor licence or permit before the event.

  • Bond refunds are subject to a satisfactory inspection. Charges may apply for cleaning, damage or breaches of the hire conditions.

 

All hirers must agree to the full Hall Hire Agreement and Housekeeping Rules.

 

Refund Policy:

The Serbian Cultural & Information Centre is a not-for-profit organisation managed by volunteers and relies on hall hire income. Cancellations must be made in writing. The hire fee is non-refundable for cancellations made 14 days or less before the hire date.
